Between the stately venue, vintage-inspired decor and soft pastel palette, Samuel and Yiman’s wedding at the Cordis Hong Kong displayed immense love, light and beauty. Everything from the decor to the attire was executed flawlessly. The ceremony venue was bedecked with soft pink rose bouquets and a rustic floral arch artfully positioned on the front steps. The bridesmaids also carried delicate baby breath bouquets that beautifully complemented their dusky peach gowns. Each dainty detail and heartfelt moment was perfectly captured by Martin Lui of Martin Aesthetics, whose heartwarming photos displayed the emotional journey the couple shared with their nearest and dearest.

Any tips for finding the right vendors?

I like taking pictures and working on portrait and travel photography during my spare time. As such, I can easily identify a list of preferred photographers. I was lucky to be able to book wedding photographer, Martin Lui (Martin Aesthetics) who is a photographer I admired from a long time ago.

Once you fix the main theme or style you want for your wedding, it’s easy to sort out the rest (like venue, videography, bouquet, wedding gown etc.). It will speed up the whole preparation process and be more efficient! From what I know, most of the couples just spend too much time and effort searching for information. They end up having too many options that may not fit the style they ultimately want.

What was the most memorable moment for the both of you?

I think the morning tea ceremony and the exchanging of vows were  the most precious and memorable moments for us. It’s about love; not only the love shared between us, but with our dads, mums, family and friends. The touching tears and happy smiles brought on by this occasion will stay with us forever.

Any tips for future newly weds?

Be yourself. Pick the right things which suit you both and what you like, regardless of what is in trend. This moment only comes along once in a life time. Make it count.
